The 'Living with a Seal' Running Challenge

This weekend I read Jesse Itzler's 'Living with a Seal', in which he proceeds to invite David Goggins, a career Navy Seal to live and train with him for an entire month. I devoured the whole book. It was like watching the best movie I have ever seen. Every page was inspiring and mind-blowing, and it really struck a chord for me. I've been pretty out of shape ever since I got married 8 years ago. Once We said I do, I started packing on the pounds more and more. Now, I am 29 and weigh in around 282. That's a lot. Luckily I am 6'4" so I hide it well, but still. I have been noticing, I have been having more joint pain, my knees hurt, my ankles hurt after long runs. I just feel all-around terrible. So when I first heard about this book, I was extremely interested. What I need is a change and a big one. I finished the book last night at midnight, and I decided right then and there that I was going to do something about this whole weight issue. I want to learn how to control my mind, and take matters into my own hands.

The other reason I am doing this is that my best friend is getting married in a month, and I currently do not fit into these tiny euro-cut dress pants, GAME ON!

So what am I going to do? I am going to try to at least run/walk the same amount of miles they do in the book every day. I am super out of shape so I am not going to push it too hard, but I want to be uncomfortable. I will also try to replicate some of the exercises and then sub workouts out for sessions at my local CycleBar.
